-Recipient of the Sam's Club/Wal-Mart 2006 Teacher of the Year Award for Bloomington/Normal
-Mrs. Beckwith teaches Algebra and Advanced Algebra.
-Both classes use the textbook by Prentice Hall.
MATHEMATICS AT CCHS
We have a very strong Mathematics Program at CCHS. We use the Prentice Hall textbooks for Algebra, Geometry, Advanced Algebra and Pre-Calculus. Our AP Calculus class uses the text by Heath.
Central students consistently score above the national and state average on the mathematics portion of standard College entrance exams. We are fortunate to have such dedicated and loyal teachers in our department.
We also offer opportunites to enjoy math outside of the classroom. We offer Mu Alpha Theta ( national math organization) as well as Math Team (friendly competition with other schools).
