Research Assignments
Mr. Huberman
You will choose a topic from one of the following:
• Linguistics and Communication
• Food
• Economic systems
• Social Stratification
• Marriage and the Family
• Political Life
• Religion and Magic
• Visual Art
• Musical Art
• Medical Anthropology
Once you have chosen a topic, you will meet with the others in your topic and decide on your research topics. The purpose of this is to make sure that two people do not do the same exact topic.
At this point you are on your own. You are to research your topic and write a 5-10 page paper. This paper should also include a title page and a bibliography. The bibliography must contain at least five sources, and at least three of them cannot be from the Internet. I strongly suggest that you try to write at least seven pages.
The last two weeks of the semester, each group will have a day to present their research. I recommend that you consider using PowerPoint, but it is not necessary. This presentation will only make up 10% of your research grade. Grades will be given individually, not as a group.
A more specific rubric will be given closer to the end of the semester.

Presentations will be from December 1st to December 11th
Final Paper due on December 12th
